Located in the Central Plaza of historic Chinatown of Los Angeles, the world's first Mind Spa offers the opportunity for the urbanite to disconnect from the daily grind of the city and recharge, reconnect, and reimagine. This cozy, creative space is designed to be a sanctuary from  the hustle and bustle of the city environment.  It seeks to provide a quick recharge and address the daily urban fatigue.

The Ambience of the Mind Spa + Showroom is a hybrid between a spa, cafe, and an art gallery.

This beautiful retail storefront unit came with a rugged industrial feel. With high ceilings, exposed duct work, and beautifully worn stained concrete, it had been used as a private art gallery in the most recent past, and a personal reading room and a library of a judge before that.

While designing the Mind Spa + Showroom, we wanted to honor the legacy of the space and pay homage to its history. As such, we decided to preserve some of the original components of the design and add textures, finishes, colors, and a hint of luxury and vitality to create this restorative experiential space.
